André to Lead the Association’s Government Affairs and Industry Risk Management Strategy

WASHINGTON, DC / ACCESSWIRE / October 15, 2024 / Fragrance Creators Association (FCA) announces the appointment of Sarah Erickson André as its new Vice President, Government Affairs & General Counsel. André will officially join FCA on Nov. 1, 2024. With over two decades of legal and regulatory experience, she brings invaluable expertise in risk mitigation and tackling complex legal and regulatory challenges – skills that will be instrumental in advancing FCA’s advocacy efforts and safeguarding its members within the evolving policy, regulatory, and geopolitical landscapes.

André joins FCA following a successful career as partner at a large, global law firm where she advised a broad range of organizations including corporations, universities, cultural institutions, and foreign sovereigns on a variety of high-stakes domestic and global matters. Her extensive expertise in intellectual property law will be crucial as the fragrance industry faces increasing regulatory and other pressures impacting global supply chains.

Throughout her career, André has garnered numerous accolades, including being named the 2022 Best Lawyers’ Los Angeles “Lawyer of the Year” for Art Law and receiving recognition in Best Lawyers in America from 2016 to 2021. She has also been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Southern California Super Lawyers and a “Top Women Attorneys Rising Star” by Los Angeles Magazine.

André earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as Managing Editor of the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law. After law school, she clerked for the Honorable Gary A. Feess (U.S. District Court for the Central District of California) and the Honorable Harry Pregerson (U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit). Additionally, she served as a full-time faculty member at UCLA School of Law, and as Legal Advisor to the California Supreme Court Committee on Judicial Ethics Opinions.
