Baltimore philanthropic and business leaders to be honored for explementary local business acumen and community impact on mentorship

BALTIMORE, MA / ACCESSWIRE / October 31, 2024 / MENTOR Maryland|DC is proud to announce the honorees for the 2024 Excellence in Mentoring Awards, recognizing outstanding business and community leaders who have not only achieved remarkable success but also leveraged the power of mentorship to uplift others and transform lives.

The event will take place on Thursday, November 14, 2024, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at The Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Baltimore.

This year’s prestigious award recipients include:

  • Jason Bisciotti: Point Field Partners & Board Chair of MENTOR MD|DC

  • Shelonda Stokes: President & CEO, Downtown Partnership of Baltimore

  • Jason Murphy: CEO, Murphy Enterprise & Retired Baltimore Raven

  • Charles “Choo” Smith, Jr.: Retired Harlem Globetrotter & Founder, Choo Smith Youth Empowerment Inc.

The evening will begin with cocktails and light fare, leading into a powerful program that highlights the extraordinary stories of these honorees.

Each honoree will be joined by their mentor for a dynamic, moderated conversation that illuminates the transformative power of mentorship in their lives. These intimate discussions will allow honorees to reflect on their achievements, underscore the critical role mentorship played in their journey, and publicly recognize the mentors who guided them along the way.
